RAMAN Data Viewer, a data processing application, displays well-selected functions in a single window. The application has been elaborately designed with carefully selected simple operations incorporated, so that anyone can use it intuitively.RAMAN-11 can be used instinctively by even users with no experience of Raman spectroscopy, on the day of its delivery.
RAMAN Data Viewer also allows users to see spectral data and the intensity distribution of Raman peaks even during measurement. If data are not correct, measurement can be ceased immediately and restarted. RAMAN Data Viewer increases efficiency.
Multicomponent imaging for instinctive operation
Multicolor display of the distribution of different components is possible just by choosing colors from the color palette and assigning them to each Raman peak. Various display modes of distribution, such as "Inten." (intensity), "Ratio" (intensity ratio), and "Area" (peak area), can be switched from one to another by a click on the screen.
Five display modes are on-board
Spectra in different ranges can be compared speedily
By choosing different ranges in the imaged area and assigning a color to each range, RAMAN-11 enables the display of averaged spectra of the different ranges in a single window at the same time to compare them. The “line tool” makes it possible to check the scale of any place selected.
Measurement of length using line tool
Measurement conditions can be checked in the property window
All measurement conditions, including excitation wavelength, objective lens, intensity of laser, and irradiation time, are displayed in the property window. Other items, such as "sample name" and "comment," can be added by inputting them before measurement. Data of such conditions can be copied and pasted to a report easily.
Real-time smoothing and fluorescence rejection
Frequently used data processing procedures, such as smoothing of spectral data (moving average and Savitzky-Golay smoothing) and bias subtraction that rejects influence of fluorescence can be performed real-time. Users can find optimal conditions, perform main procedures, and then extract the champion data.
RAMAN Data Viewer provides a wide variety of data analysis functions to meet such purposes as viewing the distribution of defects in GaN, the make-up and distribution of crystalline polymorphism in a tablet, and the contents of sp2 and sp3 orbitals in DLC film. Examples are shown below.
Imaging of peak shift
Multivariate analysis, including classical least square
G/D ratio analysis
Multipeak fitting
We at Nanophoton customize data analysis functions upon request.
As an optional function, RAMAN Data Viewer can be linked to BIO-RAD's KnowItAll, a highly reliable and established application for database searching in the spectroscopic field. An easy operation allows Raman Data Viewer to output Raman spectra to KnowItAll. The database is compatible with 4,465 spectra of monomers, polymers, inorganic compounds, and others.
